Dr. Jocelyn Yu

Dr Jocelyn Yu Dr. Jocelyn Yu was born and raised in the Philippines. She moved to
Canada, then to the United States with her family in 1982. Dr. Yu completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1990 at the University of California, Davis and in 1993, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Yu completed further training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Texas A & M College of Dentistry in Dallas in 2000. She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Yu obtained a scholarship through the US Army while in dental school. After graduation, she served in active duty as a dental officer with the US Army Dental Corps from 1993 through 2003. In 2005 Dr. Yu reactivated in the US Army Reserves and served in various leadership roles, including a command position for a deployable dental company. Dr. Yu retired after 26 years of service. She received numerous awards during her time in the military.

As a Pediatric Dentist and a mother, Dr. Yu is very committed in children’s oral health. Her philosophy is to provide dental care to children in the same way she would her own; with compassion and patience and held to the highest standards as possible. Dr. Yu enjoys the practice of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves watching her young patients develop good oral habits and over time, grow into healthy, confident, smiling teens and adults.
